Writing Styles: Pantsers & Plotters - Catching up from Behind

After reading an article on writing, it made me reflect on my own writing style. You can find the first article here

I mentioned I would fill in all the time until the deadline when using the plotting process for writing my weekly articles, I felt it was impossible to catch up if I ever missed a deadline - because I’d just fill the whole of next week plotting for the next article and I would never catch up.

Last week, I missed a deadline when using the pantsing process to write my daily articles, I notice I could easily catch up on articles

  • even when I had to produce three of them in a row in a day!

I stepped in and just wrote them out - if I didn’t have my version change history tell me they were all written on the same day, I would not know it.

For me, this high throughput process is one thing pantsing has over plotting.
