Red Green Repeat Adventures of a Spec Driven Junkie

Toastmasters Adventures: Losing Club Home

This is a series on my adventures in a Toastmasters Club.

One of the biggest adventures I had as a Toastmaster was when I was the Mannheim Toastmasters Club President and had to find a new home for the club.

When I became president, I inherited all the operational aspects of the club. One of them was an agreement with our meeting space - at the time was the second floor of a restaurant on a Tuesday night. The space was great as it was on the second floor and no one else uses when we met. Our members would order food and drinks - it was a win-win relationship.

One day, the owner let us know that they wanted to have another group use the space on the night we met. They mentioned that we were not large enough of a group nor did we order as much as we did before.

Next, the challenges as club president start to show up.
