Lean Coffee: Weekly Staff Meeting

I learned about lean coffee style meetings and these are my notes of my journey using them. The first of the series starts here

After introducing lean coffee to the company’s engineering lunch & learn meeting - I was more confident in running a lean coffee meeting.

Now that I think about it, starting with hosting my first lean coffee at a larger scale seem backwards - hosting a lean coffee with a smaller group would be easier, right?!

Welp!

I introduced the lean coffee format to my weekly staff meeting to change up from the agenda driven meeting.

Interestingly, with a smaller group, a lean coffee meeting is a bit harder to run. With a larger group, especially one that does not know anyone, the lean coffee format helps everyone open up.

When there’s a small group where everyone knows everyone else, lean coffee has a slightly different dynamic.
