Hacking on Rd.io at Spotify - And the Winner is
This is part of my experience when I attended the Spotify NYC hackathon in 2013.
Presenting my hack and receiving recognition from my peers made the effort all weekend worth it.
I was so energized by accomplishing this hack that Nothing Else Mattered.
The process is the result.
After going to enough hackathons, I know not to hold hope at the end where each sponsor announce winners, especially in this case, I didn’t even hack on the main sponsor’s API!
When winner announcements came, I paid attention when the Rd.io developer evangelist came up.
The Winner of the Rd.io prize is… CROWDPLAY!

The Rd.io prize was a year of Rd.io’s service, which I did not have so that was really nice.
For me, winning a prize at a hackathon is just the cherry on top of a sundae.
I found original code, dug around, and found CrowdPlay didn’t just use two APIs
