Highlights: Apple MacBook Air M1

In 2021, I drank the Kool-Aid™️and got the Apple MacBook Air with the M1 processor. I held out for a machine with 16GB of RAM, even though there were reports of 8GB being enough.

Yeah, I remember this quote:

640K ought to be enough for anybody.

So I held out for a deal on a 16GB one and finally got it from the Micro Center - a place where they had a good deal on it and in store only.

The M1 processor is a game changer. The first time this hit me was when Time Machine said:

No backup for 14 days. Please plugin your computer and be on the same network as the Time Capsule.

I thought: “Woah, that’s a great reminder. What’s my battery charge??”

I used my MacBook Air casually for 2 weeks without plugging in and the only complaint I received was not doing a Time Capsule backup?!
