Journey to TDD - Code Retreat

I wrote that I started to interview to get back into software but I wasn’t landing any offers as my mind-set was “manually test all the things” when asked how I would test the system.

As part of my job hunting process, I attended meet-ups and ended up going to Code Retreat.

This was the first meet-up I attended where they focused on modern software practices, such as:

• pair programming
• testing
• refactoring
• and more!

This was all done in a day, in a hands on manner, with everyone learning and teaching from each other. This is an important step in getting TDD.
